Youth
The Youth Service Directorate is another area of Club activity and investment of both funds and effort including:

The Model United Nations Assembly (MUNA), sponsoring year 11 students to a three day course representing nations in the UN at Old Parliament House.

Rotary Youth Driver Awareness (RYDA), conducting whole day programs for over 330 year 11 students with the generosity of financial assistance from the IBM Foundation;

The Science Experience (TSE), sponsoring 6 Year 10 students to a three day course at the ANU;

Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA), sponsoring each year a 18-25 year old outstanding attendee, to a live-in six day program at Greenhills;

Rotary Adventure in Citizenship (RAIC) hosting along with the Rotary Club of Woden, 36 Students from all over Australia to Canberra, to see the workings of Federal Parliament and the ACT Institutions;

Youth Exchange Program (YEP), hosting for one year, an overseas secondary school student and sending one local student overseas each year;

Rotary Youth Program for Enrichment (RYPEN), funding two Year 10 students to the three day live-in program including one indigenous student as part of our involvement in our Reconciliation program.

Rotaract, supporting our “junior” Rotary Club for 18-30 year old people with an interest in service work with both financial assistance and guidance and attendance of our Club members;

Group Study Exchange (GSE), sponsoring one of four students within the group to travel overseas to study their vocations and be hosted by local Rotary Club’s, and in exchange, hosting a GSE student from overseas.
