Good morning members Our guest for Monday's meeting is Professor Zoe Wainer, head of the Centre for Disease Control. Professor Wainer's presentation to the Club is very pertinent in the wake of the Covid pandemic and the recent first cases of Bird Flu in Australia and other global disease threats such as the Ebola outbreak in the Congo region. I am sure that members will find Professor Wainer's presentation to the Club of great relevance and interest. Can you please register by COB THURSDAY 17 September to allow the Commonwealth Club adequate time for catering arrangements for the lunch. Email me if you are attending and that is easier for you.
