May 12, 2025 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm
On Monday we will hear from a representative of the ACT RSPCA who will take us through their operations and explain how partnerships work and what our Club can do to help this wonderful organisation. Simon Yates, the Animal Care Manager for the ACT RSPCA will speak to us and answer questions about that organisation and RCC's proposed partnership and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The MOU is designed to help not just animals in the care of the RSPCA, but to help provide care to family pets for those owners who unfortunately have to surrender them, even if it is for a short time. The meeting will be held at Olims in Braddon at the usual time of 12.30pm. Remember that the meal includes a house beer, wine or soft drink. Please register as soon as possible and remember to click on the save button. |

Next Monday our meeting will be at Olims for a Club Assembly. For those newer members, a Club Assembly is traditionally a meeting where everyone is encouraged to discuss issues, put forward ideas for projects and Club events, and have a say on the future of our Club. It is important to remember that our Club will turn 100 in 2028 which also means that Rotary in Canberra will turn 100 in 2028. Members are encouraged to come along to discuss issues raised at the Board meeting and hear about projects and events planned for the next few months. Please register and click save. Our meal on Monday will be Roast Lamb and which includes a drink - house wine, beer or soft drink. |

This coming Monday we will meet for some good fellowship at the Portrait Cafe - The Fresh Collective which is at the National Portrait Gallery on King Edwqrd Terrace Parkes. The cafe is on the lake side of the gallery and there is parking underneath. We have a table booked for 15 people under the name of RC Canberra at 12.00pm. After a casual lunch or a cup of coffee which you can purchase yourself, you might like to visit the Portrait Gallery - free entry - or wander down to the lake to see the last of the Autumn colours. Come along and catch up with other members and enjoy a different venue with a great view. Please register as usual so we can make sure we have enough seating for those coming along. |
